BUSINESS OFFICE CLERK – COMMERCIAL INSURANCE

Day/Hours:    Full Time

Summary:   Performs duties primarily associated with patient accounts and demonstrates ability to file claims with primary and secondary insurance carriers using the health information system. Manages designated accounts receivable accounts to promptly secure accurate payments by processing insurance carrier denials, resolving credit balances and responding to patient inquiries in a timely manner.  Position includes but is not limited to commercial, work comp, VA, liability insurances and any other payers as assigned.  Provides excellent customer service to patients through written and verbal communication.

Requirements:   Possess High School diploma or GED.  Insurance billing experience preferred.  Data entry experience preferred.  Excellent public relation skills, strong multi-tasking skills, patience, and a clear understanding of confidentiality.
