Day/Hours: Full Time
Summary: This position is responsible for ensuring that all surgical supplies, instruments and equipment are properly inventoried, decontaminated, assembled, inspected, packaged, sterilized, stored, distributed and tracked in a quality/timely manner throughout the hospital. Works independently with minimal supervision, serves as a resource to other departments regarding Central Sterilization functions. Must be extremely conscientious with regard to procedures and capable of working under pressure and interacting professionally with other departments within the hospital. Must be reliable, flexible and detail oriented.
Requirements: Basic computer knowledge. Good interpersonal skills and good working relationship with other. Good verbal and written communication skills. Self-motivated. Basic CPR. Would be willing to become certified as a Central Sterilization Tech within 24 months of hire.
