Decatur County Hospital to Offer Women’s Health Outpatient Clinic

Starting May 14, 2019, Decatur County Hospital will add a provider to our Outpatient Clinic to meet the unique health needs of women in Decatur County and the surrounding region.

Dr. Earle M. Pescatore, Jr., a specialist in urogynecology, will visit DCH’s Outpatient Clinic every Tuesday to provide women’s health services. Dr. Pescatore will also provide surgical services for advanced women’s health issues to include, cystoscopy, diagnostic laparoscopy, endometrial ablation and hysteroscopy.

Dr. Pescatore earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from William Penn University, his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Nova Southeastern University and his Masters of Health Administration at A.T. Still University.  Dr. Pescatore began his career as a battalion surgeon for the 4th Battalion, 12th Regimental Marines and went on to focus his career in gynecology and urogynecology.

His focus is on pelvic floor disorders and aesthetics. He is daVinci Robot trained and can perform many surgeries with the assistance of the robot to offer smaller incisions, faster healing time and decreased pain.

At his new DCH outpatient clinic, Dr. Pescatore will focus on gynecology and urogynecology.

Gynecologic services focus on the health of the female reproductive systems (vagina, uterus and ovaries) and the breasts. Regular gynecologic care is important for women of all ages.

Urogynecology focuses on female urinary incontinence and pelvic prolapse, two condition which can occur following childbirth, and as women age.
