Established in 1931, Decatur County Hospital's present facility was built in 1971. A not-for-profit healthcare organization located in Leon, Iowa, the hospital and its staff serve the residents of southern Iowa and northern Missouri. There are approximately 18,000 people in the hospital's primary service area.

Thank you for your interest in the Decatur County Hospital (DCH). We are a 25 bed rural hospital located in Leon, Iowa, the county seat of Decatur County. DCH is a primary care hospital that offers in-patient hospice, skilled and respite care, in addition to acute care. Our out-patient services include; same day surgery; cardiac rehabilitation; physical, occupational and speech therapy; pulmonary services; nuclear scans; Cardiolyte stress tests; and, the full array of traditional imaging and laboratory procedures.
