Anne Nelson, PA-C Dermatology
      
alt Anne Nelson, PA-C received an Undergraduate degree in Genetics from Iowa State University and graduated as a PA from Des Moines University.  Anne Nelson will see patients of all ages for a variety of skin conditions.  She will treat skin cancers, pre-skin  cancers, perform annual skin checks, treat acne, remove warts, treat eczema and psoriasis, evaluate and treat rashes, remove skin moles or lesions, as well as providing other dermatology needs.
                              
 
Brian L. Gallagher, M.D. Urology
alt Dr. Brian Gallagher did his undergraduate at Iowa University and graduated from the University of Iowa College of Medicine.  He also completed his residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.  Specializing in Urology, Dr. Gallagher has a Urology Clinic once a month at Decatur County Hospital Specialty Clinics.
 
Dane Johnson, DO General Surgery
alt Dr. Johnson received his undergraduate degree at Southern Methodist University and his Medical Degree at the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine.  He completed his Surgical Degree in Phoenix, Arizona.  Dr. Johnson is Board Certified in General Surgery and provides general gynecological surgery services with an emphasis on laparoscopic endoscopic procecures.
Dr. Johnson lives in Mt. Ayr, Iowa and started his surgical practice at Decatur County Hospital in 1997.
 
Daniel J. Barth, DO Pulmonologist
alt Dr. Barth was born and raised in Iowa.  He completed his medical degree at Des Moines University Osteopathic Medical Center.  His internal medical residency was completed through the University of Iowa-Des Moines at Iowa Methodist Medical Center.  He completed his pulmonary and critical care medicine fellowship at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.  He is board certified in internal medicine, critical care and pulmonary disease.  Areas of special interests include COPD, interstitial lung disease and pulmonary hypertension.

Douglas Hoisington, DO ENT
alt Dr. Hoisington specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of ear, nose and throat disorders. His areas of special interest are otolaryngology head and neck surgery with a particular interest in rhinology, sinus disease, allergy & laryngology.

Eugene Yoder, ARNP of Leon received his Masters in Nursing from Graceland University in Lamoni, December of 2012, and has recently became Board Certified with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.  Eugene will be providing same-day acute medical services at  the Community Health Centers of Southern Iowa in Leon and providing Emergency Services at Decatur County Hospital Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.
 
Jill Frerichs, DPM Podiatry
alt Foot and Ankle Specialist.  Dr. Jill Frerichs is a native of Hinton, Iowa. She attended the University of Iowa and subsequently earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree at Des Moines University in 2001.  Dr. Frerichs completed a three year foot and ankle surgical residency at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. 
Prior to joining Capital Orthopaedics in September 2011, Dr. Frerichs served as an assistant professor of podiatric surgery at Des Moines University for five years.  She is board certified in both foot surgery and reconstructive rear foot and ankle surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery.  Her area of special interest is foot and ankle reconstruction , ankle arthroscopy and foot and ankle injuries.
 
Jill Simonson, MD Audiologist
alt Dr. Jill Simonson is a clinical audiologist who specializes in the diagnostics of hearing loss in adults and children. She completed her training by the National Center for Hearing Assessment and Management for auditory evaluation in 2005.  She has worked with multiply involved children with the presence of profound hearing loss, and is currently seeing infants who are referred by Early Hearing Detection and Intervention.
Dr. Simonson also works with adults for the diagnostics of hearing loss, for the fitting, and ongoing management of personal hearing aids.
She comes to Decatur County Hospital with Dr. Hoisington on the last Tuesday of every month at our Ears, Nose, and Throat clinic.
 
Joel From, M.D. Cardiology
alt Dr. Joel From holds a medical degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine and completed his residency and fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic.  He is board-certified in cardiology, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and internal medicine. Dr. From offers exceptional, personalized care, with over 20 years of experience  Dr. From comes to Decatur County Hospital Specialty Clinics twice a month.

Larry Richard, MD Family Practice
alt Dr. Richard graduated from the University of Iowa College of Medicine, Iowa City, Iowa on May 17, 1975. He received his post graduate training at Broadlawn Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.  Dr. Richard joined the Leon Clinic in July 1978.  He joined the Community Health Centers of Southern Iowa in 2008 and is Board Certified in Family Medicine.  He is an instructor in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation, and Hunter Safety.

Mark Easter, DO Family Practice
alt Dr. Easter graduated from Graceland University and University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine, Kansas City, Missouri in 1981. Dr. Easter joined Decatur Medical Services in 1987. He then joined Community Health Centers of Southern Iowa in 2008. Dr. Easter is the Medical Director of Athletics at Graceland University.

Patricia Magle, MD Family Practice
alt Dr. Magle began her medical career as a Family Practice Physician providing both inpatient and outpatient primary medical care at the Wholistic Health Center in Oak Park, IL where she worked from August, 1980 to December, 1982. In January, 1983, she became the College Physician at Graceland University where she continued through 1991. While working as Graceland's physician, she joined the Decatur Medical Services in 1984.  Dr. Magle joined Community Health Centers of Southern Iowa in 2005.  She is board certified in Family Medicine.

Robert Shreck, MD Oncology - Hematology
alt Dr. Shreck completed his undergraduate work at the University of Iowa where he majored in Pre-Medical studies in 1971.  He graduated from the University of Iowa Medicine in 1974.  Dr. Shreck completed a residency at the University of Utah School of Medicine in 1977.  He also completed a fellowship in Medical Oncology and Hematology at University of Utah School of Medicine in Salt Lake City.
 
Scott Mial, MD Family Practice

 

alt Dr. Scott Mial MD graduated from Michigan State University, College of Human Medicine in 1992.  He then completed an internship at the William Beaumont Hospital in Troy, Michigan, before completing his residency at William Beaumont Hospital in Sterling Heights, Michigan.  Dr. Mial's fellowship was performed at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio in the areas of primary care and sports medicine.  He joined Community Health Centers of Southern Iowa in February 2011.  Dr. Mial is currently certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine.

Timothy Kenney, MD Orthopaedic
alt Dr. Kenney attended medical school at the University College of Medicine in Iowa City, Iowa.  He completed his orthopaedic residency at the University of North Carolina. Dr. Kenney is a Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Kenney comes to Decatur County Hospital Specialty Clinics twice a month and can do several orthopaedic procedures and carpal tunnel surgery here at Decatur County Hospital.
 
William Stanley, DO General Surgery
alt Dr. Stanley received his degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his General Surgery from Des Moines General Hospital and his Fellowship in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio.  He is Board Certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery in Thoracic, Cardiovascular,General Vascular and General Surgery.
Dr. Stanley lives in Wayne County and started surgical practice at Decatur County Hospital in 2001.
