Hospital Board Members Receive Trustee Education Certification

The Iowa Hospital Association recognized Hospital Board of Trustee Linda Chastain
for completing the Trustee Education Certification (TEC) program at the advanced level. Chastain was recognized for this accomplishment at the 2016 IHA Governance Forum held in Des Moines on April 7.

The TEC program requires board members to complete 12 continuing board education hours made up of seminars, online learning opportunities, leadership forum education and other educational opportunities related to board of trustee duties and responsibilities.

Carrie Melcher, DCH Board Trustee, also achieved the Trustee Education Certification but was not in attendance at the ceremony.

DCH CEO Suzanne Cooner stated, “This certification is a testament to the commitment of these trustees to improve their skills in governance and leadership to better serve the hospital and community. We sincerely thank them for their service and dedication.”
