From Preventive Care to Advanced Surgery: Women’s Healthcare Focused on You

An annual exam you keep putting off. Heavy periods that make it difficult to plan your day. Menopause symptoms that leave you exhausted. A concerning test result that brings more questions than answers.

Women’s health needs change throughout life, but one thing stays the same. You deserve someone who listens, takes your concerns seriously, and helps you understand what comes next.

At Decatur County Hospital, we want women to know just how much care is available right here in Leon, from preventive visits to advanced gynecologic surgery.

Start with your everyday health.

You don’t need to wait until something feels wrong to make an appointment. Our women’s health services include well-woman visits, pelvic and breast exams, Pap tests and appropriate cancer screenings, along with family planning and contraception management.

Juanita Kahler, WHNP-BC, brings more than 15 years of women’s healthcare experience to DCH. Her approach emphasizes listening, building trust, and helping patients feel comfortable discussing personal concerns.

That conversation might begin with painful periods, bladder leakage, or changes during menopause. These concerns can affect your sleep, relationships, work, and confidence. They deserve time and attention.

When your needs become more complex, specialized expertise is here too.

Dr. Elizabeth Dubil, MD, FACOG, is double-board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology and gynecologic oncology. DCH provides evaluation and treatment for conditions including endometriosis, uterine fibroids, pelvic pain, and abnormal Pap results.

Our services also extend to on-site surgery for gynecologic cancers, including endometrial, ovarian, and cervical cancers, with chemotherapy available through our infusion center when appropriate.

For a woman facing a difficult diagnosis, receiving care locally can mean fewer hours traveling, easier arrangements for family, and more time in familiar surroundings.

Whether you are scheduling a routine exam, looking for relief, or facing a more serious concern, we want you to feel confident taking that first step.

Call 641-446-2285 to learn more or schedule an appointment. Depending on your insurance, a referral may not be required.

Your health deserves a place on your calendar. We’re here to help you make it a priority.
