The Leon City Council, Decatur County Board of Supervisors, Decatur County Hospital, Community Health Centers of Southern Iowa (CHCSI) and Decatur County Public Health partnered to revive and improve the Leon Community Meal Program.

Decatur County Hospital will offer patients a powerful diagnostic imaging system known as PET/CT. This hybrid technology that combines the strengths of two well-established imaging modalities in one imaging session to more accurately diagnose and locate cancers while increasing patient comfort. The service is scheduled to start on April 1, 2017, in conjunction with Shared Medical Services of Cottage Grove, WI.
Decatur County Hospital recently received notification that its Sleep Lab has been accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC). ACHC is a not-for-profit organization that has stood as a symbol of quality and excellence since 1986. ACHC is ISO 9001:2008 certified and has CMS Deeming Authority for Home Health, Hospice and DMEPOS.
