The Decatur County Hospital radiology department offers a variety of completely digital diagnostic imaging tools, which allows the highest quality results while maximizing patient convenience and comfort. Computerized imaging provides faster service and more comprehensive records for patients. Radiology Services are available from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday or by appointment. Race will follow the Little River Recreation Trail, and a shorter route will be available. A free breakfast will be provided starting at 9 am in the DCH parking lot.
Since July 2016, the new Leon Community Meal Program has been going strong. When changes were announced from the previous meal site operators, the community of Leon was called upon to make a quick and necessary move to improve and continue meals for our residents. In less than thirty days, the community took responsibility of the meal site.
Decatur County Hospital will soon offer CT Scans on Saturdays. Starting January 7th, appointments will be held each Saturday from 8 am to noon. Appointments must be made by 10 am on the Thursday before the appointment. To ask questions or make an appointment, call 641-446-2239.
Decatur County Hospital Auxiliary members presented Haylie Osborn with the $1,000 DCH Auxiliary scholarship that is awarded annually.
Several entities have partnered together, pooling their resources to continue to provide meals for seniors in the Community of Leon. These community partners include Leon’s New Horizons, Inc. (New-2-U), Decatur County Hospital, Decatur County Board of Supervisors, City of Leon, Decatur County Public Health, Decatur County Development Corporation, and the Leon Community Center Board.
This year’s National Hospital Week runs from May 8-14. We at Decatur County Hospital are invested in caring from the heart every day of every year.
The Iowa Hospital Association recognized Hospital Board of Trustee Linda Chastain for completing the Trustee Education Certification (TEC) program at the advanced level.
