Decatur County Hospital employees held a “Kleenex and Hand Sanitizer Drive” last week. Infection Preventionist Jessica Sullivan and Paramedic Jerry Breneman presented them to both the Central Decatur and Lamoni Schools on Friday as way to promote awareness for preventing and reducing infection during cold and flu season!

There is now a community “Little Free Library” located at Decatur County Hospital by the Emergency Department! Hospital staff will be getting it all stocked up with our favorite reads and anyone in the community is welcome to “check out” a book by leaving a book for someone else to read.
Beginning in the fall of 2014, the Decatur County Prayer Shawl Ministry has been hand making and providing prayer shawls to patients at Decatur County Hospital. The ministry is a spiritually driven, community based project to provide warmth, comfort, joy, peace, and healing to patients that are weary and hurting.
Decatur County Hospital employees held a “Back To School” school supplies drive during the month of August and presented the supplies to the Central Decatur and Lamoni School Districts last week!
