Several entities have partnered together, pooling their resources to continue to provide meals for seniors in the Community of Leon. These community partners include Leon’s New Horizons, Inc. (New-2-U), Decatur County Hospital, Decatur County Board of Supervisors, City of Leon, Decatur County Public Health, Decatur County Development Corporation, and the Leon Community Center Board.
This year’s National Hospital Week runs from May 8-14. We at Decatur County Hospital are invested in caring from the heart every day of every year.

On the morning of October 31, 2014 a young woman rushed through the Emergency Room doors of Decatur County Hospital (DCH) shouting, “I’m think I’m in labor!” Seairra Stephenson, the expectant mother, was pregnant with twins and scheduled for an OB appointment later that morning in Des Moines; she did not make it.
