Decatur County Hospital EMS is how hiring a full time weekend package day shift Paramedic.   This position is responsible for providing pre-hospital EMS care, interfacility transfers, and working in the ER with supervising RN.

A $15,000 sign on bonus is available for new full time Paramedics.

Schedule:

This is a weekend package day shift.  Sleep room provided for those living outside the area.  Pay based on experience.

Qualifications:

• Paramedic certification by State of Iowa or National Registry.
• ACLS
• PALS
• BLS
• Mandatory reporter with 6 months of hire.
• NRP within a year of hire.
• Current Iowa class D license.

Decatur County Hospital is located in Leon Iowa, roughly an hour south of Des Moines along the Iowa – Missouri border. We are the only 911 transport service in the county that has a population of roughly 7900 people.  We run roughly 825 calls a year both 911 and transfers to hospitals in Des Moines, Iowa City, and occasionally the Kansas City Mo. metro.
