DCH Corner – Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation

Cardiac Rehabilitation is designed to help people recover faster and return to full, productive lives after being hospitalized with a heart event. Qualifying diagnoses or procedures include heart attack, balloon angioplasty, stent placement, bypass surgery, valve surgery, heart transplantation, and heart failure.

Pulmonary Rehabilitation helps people with lung disease or other lung conditions cope with the daily limitations of shortness of breath.

At Decatur County Hospital, our cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation team helps patients recover faster and return to full and productive lives. Our Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation program provides an individualized plan of care to each individual’s needs including:

  • Medical evaluation
  • Monitored exercise and home exercise program development
  • Diet instruction
  • Education and counseling

Cardiac Services Include:

  • Treadmill stress testing
  • Cardiolyte stress testing every Friday
  • Cardiac rehab phase II monitored
  • Cardiac rehab phase III maintenance
  • Cardioversion

Respiratory Services Include:

  • Pulmonary function testing
  • Sleep studies / full and titration studies for Cpap and Bipap
  • EKG’S
  • Pulmonary rehab phase II
  • Pulmonary rehab phase III maintenance
